University of Illinois Chicago DNP Nurse Anesthesia Fall 2025 start! Starting this discussion because I could not find one, who has applied? Who was able to attend the information session and could share some information for those that missed it? Thank you!

I will say based on experience, the facebook number never truly reflects whether they completed the cohort yet. Some people don't use social media or know it exists if they are not in forum.

I feel like they already have their 20 just waiting on each person to accept so they know if they have to add more in. The email from the director of the program said thats the first thing we need to do.

That makes a lot of sense I bet you're right

The thing that throws me off about this though is that some people already got waitlisted. If they already picked all their cohort then you'd think everybody in limbo would have also received a waitlist/hold notification. But a good handful of us have heard nothing yet. I'm not sure what to think though. Only they know 🤷🏼‍♀️

I agree. If filled completely why not reject or hold everyone else.  I'm hoping there is 5 spots left and we have a chance !! Negativity gets ya nowhere.

I know somebody said they got an email last Friday stating they're still making decisions...has anybody reached out this week to ask? I'm hoping maybe they took this week to make final decisions and will be releasing them next week because it sounds like nobody heard anything at all this week

Anyone at all hear updates or have a status change ?

No, and I wish we had because we're going into a 3 day weekend

I'm 99% sure that the cohort is filled and the people who have " waitlist" will have a better chance . Right now they filled the cohort and just waiting for people to accept and if they don't accept they will put from the waitlist. If your application says " complete under review with department" that's probably a denial.

Also this is their first cohort ever. They most likely just selected the applications who had 4.0 so that their first cohort " stats" will look good and they can have a successful attrition rate.

This is awfully negative. Maybe it is full but maybe it's not and nobody will know till we have final decisions. They already sent out denials to people so I think if everybody with the complete status was a denial then it would just be out  as a denial like the other people that received them... won't know till we know
