Hey all,

I need help maybe reconfirmation. I am so nervous about applying to accelerated BSN programs. I live in SouthEast Michigan near Royal Oak area.

Here is a little background of me:

I have a Bachelors in Public Health minor in Science (2.65 GPA)

I have a LPN ( 3.2 GPA)

I have worked in the healthcare field for more than 10 years. I currently work as a Clinical Research Coordinator (Oncology and GI).

I recently retook:

A&P 1 (3.7 GPA)

& A&P II (3.8 GPA)

Dev. Psychology (4.0 GPA)

BUS101 (elective to boost gpa 4.0)

Fall 2016 I will be taking:

Micro

Chem

Nutrition and

Ethics

I hope to apply to U of D Mercy Accelerated program for 2017 ASAP. I went to a orientation and the Director said they do not only go by GPA, they take other applicants in consideration. She also said the undergrad BS Degree has to be a min. GPA of 2.5 to apply.

Anyone in the same boat with a low Undergrad Bachelor GPA but high Pre-Req GPA?

Anyone applying for 2017 Cohorts? For people applying or accepted, Stats please?

I hope to hear from you. Thanks.

Hello,

I applied for fall admission (August 2017). I had my interview in April I am currently waiting to hear back from them.

Did you applied already?

Hey, Yes I applied but unfortunately, UofD mercy did not receive my transcript from my undergrad.

I hope they can consider me with a late app.

I tried to call and talk to them but it seems like they are very disorganized.

Oh no! Hopefully they can you should email them as well!

Hey jbrown796, were you accepted to UofD mercy?? what were your stats?

Update I took all pre reqs in 2016 and have a cum GPA of 3.9 :-)

I did apply to U of D Mercy and they have received my transcripts (finally) and now I am waiting to hear back on their decision.

Yeah I did get accepted! I received my email on May 17th.

yaay!!! im so so happy for u !!

Do you mind me asking you ur GPA and stuff? how was ur interview??

yahoo !!

Thank you so much! My gpa was a 3.35. I did a phone interview because I currently live in Texas . It was good they were extremely nice. They asked me why I wanted to be a nurse. I had a couple of scenario questions. They asked me how would I be able to handle the work load.. etc

Thanks so much for your reply !! i love Texas... i live 15 minutes from U of D Mercy. So I guess this is a pretty popular program. I called a couple of days ago and they said they had accepted 30 people so far and they can can up to 64 people. I am guess they are still reviewing applications. It is quite expensive.

But I think it's worth it.

Oh wow you are very close!!! Oh okay 64 people wow I didn't know that!!! Well that's still good for you! Yeah the school is very expensive I'm going to need to get private loans to help pay for it lol

Has anyone applied to the August 2018 cohort at UDM??
