new to allnurses...Sup Y'all.....I have a few question, maybe someone else has been through a similar situation. I currently attend the major state University of my sate and over the last 3 years I have earned a really weak GPA, granted personal problems and other obstacles I have taken responsibilities for this. I would like to get my ADN and have decided to go to a Community college to do this. I called the admissions office and explained my situation in its, they told me that it was fine and they could by default just use my HS transcript and I would enter as a new student. This being said I know that financial aid doesn't work as simple as admissions so i called FA and told them what i was told in admissions and asked if i would need to submit any docs because i had previously received Aid but was trying to enter a new school as a Freshman. She informed me that it was fine and that i would only need to bring them my Unofficial transcripts so they can process my financial aid... After all of that i called the nursing department and explained to the Secretary what i was being told, then I asked if that would affect my admissions to the program in the future which she said it wouldn't because they only check with the Registrar's Office to see if there are transcripts on file when reviewing the application and since i will be submitting only HS transcripts, they only would review the ACT score and coursework completed at the current CC... Its like I believe it...but then again I don't I'm not sure what to do here if anyone has advice I'm open ears...

From what I know most schools expect all college transcripts. I would ask to speak with someone other then the secretary
