Wanted to reach out and find my classmates who are starting at the University of Cincinnati in the BSN to FNP track this fall of 2020! What are you most excited about? Do you have any concerns due to timing and the current pandemic? Where is everyone from?

Hi!
I will start at UC this Fall; however, I'll be in the AG-ACNP program. Maybe we'll cross paths some time or another. I'm from Kentucky and work in Louisville. I currently have no concerns about the pandemic but we'll see how it plays out. I'm excited to be taking this next step! I've been a nurse for about 8 years now... so it's time!

Great to hear from you Logan! I'm from Charlotte, NC! I'm also trying not to worry too much about how the pandemic may influence classes/clinical at this point. Have you received any emails about signing up for classes yet? They originally told me they would be sending an email early May about signing up, but I haven't received anything regarding it yet.
I received an email today actually from an academic advisor with lots of useful information! They also sent me a curriculum with the classes that I need to sign up for. Be checking your email!

Hi guys, Sorry to chime in this thread. I am actually applying for the online MSN FNP program at UC for Spring 2021 but just wanted to know if you all have any information about how the practicums gonna be like. Do they help arrange the clinical sites for practicum or are we supposed to find the preceptor on our own? I am from Pennsylvania so I will be out of state. Thank you in advance.

I got accepted to the online FNP program, anyone else? Also, does anyone know if they assist with clinical placement for online students?

I have been accepted to the UC FNP program (start Spring 2021). UC does NOT make clinical placements for students, however if students are stuck without one the can facilitate some connections but can't be guaranteed that it will be within close vicinity to home. Overall I have been very pleased with the communication from the enrollment advisors as well as the nursing staff that I have been in contact with. I have heard that some of the courses are challenging but in a way that really facilitates the learning of the material. I have a peer that is attending the Psych NP program and they love it. I have been in contact with a lot of FNP school and accepted to most but by far have been most impressed with UC for multiple reasons.
