Has anyone applied to their DNP program? I've applied to the dual DNP for fall 2018 and I'm super nervous. Looking for anyone who plans to attend, is currently in their program, or a graduate who can share information. Any and all input is welcome.
Also wondering if there is a difference in UAH and UAB DNP programs as compared with UofA's program cause they're all somewhat connected in UofA.
Thanks in advance.

What is a dual DNP program? I'm one quarter away from finishing my DNP and am happy to help answer questions you might have, though every program is a bit different.
Dual DNP = FNP & PMHNP certifications/education all in one DNP program. Did you get help with clinicals? How long before you received acceptance? Were there a lot of group assignments, papers to write, etc? I have tons of questions, but then again I always have questions.
My program is hybrid and sets up clinical sites for me (sooo nice). The application date close mid-January and I received a letter mid/end March, if I remember correctly.
Lots of group work, not a ton of writing assignments. Lots of presentations in class. However, I think this can vary based on the program. My profs also do research so I assume part of the group work/presentations was to help decrease their take-home grading time.
I'm happy to answer any other questions as best I can! :)
Thanks for the replies. I'm super nervous which is rare for me in these cases cause I'm never usually anxious about acceptance into nursing programs. Good luck to you and I'll check in if I have any more questions.

I just got my acceptance letter this week.
I'm in hope that I will meet some of my new classmates for the University of Alabama's distance BSN-DNP program starting this fall 2018.
Congrats but I won't be there. I was accepted into Nursing@Simmons but I'm on the fence about that, as well. I'm thinking I don't want to do FNP at all but instead PMHNP which isn't what I initially applied for. Please keep me posted about how you like the program once you start.
