Unitek/WCC - did loans cover everything?

Published

Did anyone go to Unitek or WCC? Did your loans cover everything + help with living expenses, or did you have to pay out of pocket too?

Because of the student loan crunch I'm worried I should start sooner and not later, because the loans might not be there if I wait. Also, I have to leave my morning job to go to school - that will mean my income is cut in half and I'll need an extra $800/month or so to help with living expenses. Can loans cover that?

I currently attend Unitek College in Fremont. I applied for an extra $5,000 above the school's LVN program tuition and successfully got it.

I was planning on attending the lvn program asap, im tired of being wait listed. what do i have to do besides go to the meetong/ orientation & take a assesment test? what does it consist of? eng & math? i have been taking my rn pre reqs at a community college, would the lvn program cost less if i already have certain classes done? and do you know whats the next deadline for the next 08 lvn program? sorry so many q's. im in marysville ( beale afb)

what are some of the prereqs you take in the lvn program and how long for that portion? thank you.

is there anyone out there in the marysville/beale afb/yuba to roseville area attending in 2008?

I received a loan to help with living expenses....that is through WCC....It helped a lot with rent....I visited both schools and liked both school but ended up going to WCC...and I'm glad I did....WCC uses the FAFSA form when applying for financial aid and Unitek doesn't (at least when I visited it last year it didn't, but check with them)...which means it's $30k straight loan.....good luck
