Unitek Fremont Spring 2021

Wondering if anyone is considering going to Unitek in Spring 2021? Or has anyone gone to Unitek Fremont and been able to get their LVN and used it to get their RN at another school? It seems like Unitek might be my only option right now but I'm wondering if anyone has been successful in getting their LVN there and an RN afterwards else where? Also, has anyone had a overall good experience with unitek???

Hi! Does anyone know if the classes are transferable if I want to get my NP in the near future?

Hi! I'm thinking of doing the BSN route at this school if I don't get into my first choice. Has anyone heard about the school or is thinking of applying here?

I just found out they are not...please be advised any school that is not WASC accredited will not transfer credits. Examples of WASC schools are usually state universities and community colleges. If you have no plans to further your nursing career past a BSN then its fine, but if you want the option to please do not waste your time and money.

Depends on the school you want to obtain your RN from. Check the application form for the RN program you are looking into to see if they accept LVN's from "regionally accredited programs" as UNITEK is not regionally accredited.

So I had talked with Unitek about the BSN program and told them that I had done all of my pre requirements and wanted to apply. They told me that I wouldn't be able to apply for the BSN program because I had already done my pre requirements and the first semester for BSN is literally the pre requirements. So I had told them if they can exempt the first year for me because another nursing school I talked to does that. They said no and that if I really want to do BSN then I have to retake 6 pre requirement classes just to be in the program... Then they said that I should do LVN ($35,401.00) for 1 year and then apply for the RN advance placement which is another $92,811.00 which a 10,000 scholarship = $82,000.00 for 2 years. I'm all for doing LVN which is not a bad option but I feel that there are more affordable places ..... After hearing this I felt that was weird because I never heard of a nursing program turning a student away from a BSN because they finished their pre requirements usually it's because of their GPA or test scores...  So if I go the route they told me I would spend $118,407.00.... I'd rather find a cheaper LVN school or do a ADN IDK... Let me know if anyone else heard anything different.
