Hey, I've been going back and forth for a year now on going the traditional way and wait 2 years on a waiting list to be a RN orrrr to go to unitek or carrington to be a LVN then bridge from there. I've been going to college for 2.5 years now and I seem to be going in circles!!! Anyway, I'm having a hard time choosing between carrington or unitek! I need some help, graduates?? Please make my mind go to ease with the right choice!! HELP!

Are you from NorCal? I am also looking into Unitek but now debating moving to San Diego and going to Kaplan or Concorde. I am tired of waiting to get into classes. Right now I think I will be moving to SD for my LVN then coming back and doing my RN bridge at Unitek! The loans are going to SUCKKKK but I am tired of waiting to get into classes

speaking in norcal
in my cohort we have people transferring from unitek, carrington, etc and speaking to other students in clinical rotation from different schools also.... it seems all one year vocational private schools are highly unorganized, esp the one I'm in. You may think "oh its not that bad" but man its horrible that people from unitek and carrington transfer over hoping it wouldn't be as horrible or unorganized as their first option school. Would anyone recommend going to a school like this? NO! but would i choose it all over again? YES! Because its honestly what you make of it, and all you need is a license and the ability to network.
I am in NorCal, and I do plan on doing unitek within the next few months! I know it's going to be unorganized and teachers are not going to be great but I know I can learn the material and come out with a licens. Thanks for your input, I made up my mind! Loans are going to be outrageous, just hope I can get enough financing!
