Has anyone done this program? I'm looking into it and it seems great but there are hardly any updates reviews. Thanks!

Dealt with Antoinette who says shes an enrollment person. Gave me the runaround about financial aid. when I kept questioning her about financial advisors she told me they were only for present students. Then told me I probably wouldnt qualify for the program even tho she had no idea what my qualifications were. I understand that they only graduate 55% of students. thats horrible. others didn't get their degrees and it goes on and on. They also paid a $686,720 civil settlement over federal financial aid fraud charges. RUN don't walk away from this place.

I graduated from USU(FNP) last year. Though I did not apply for financial aid because I choose the payment plan option. But, I knew some of my former classmates that used financial aid with no problem. All through my 2 years at USU, I did not have a problem with anyone.

I did my research and found out that they only graduated 55%. they have a terrible reputation for not bestowing degrees, not supporting students and the list goes on. I would say you are one of the lucky ones.

That's odd... I don't know who Antoinette is, but I am on the payment plan through the school. They just extended it. I did have student loans immediately after the first year. I haven't heard of anyone not graduating. I  know of a few people that have had to retake pharm but have not heard of failing the program. I have two terms to do and I am done. I would think if people aren't graduating it may be due to them not helping with preceptors. I know a few students who have had to sit out a term or two while finding a clinical site.

I just graduated 23Aug21 and I didn't have any issues that would make me lose sleep over. My transcript says "degree conferred" MSN FNP as well as my other classmates I have spoken to.

just spoke to antoinette yesterday. she does exist. LOL. I do see the issue. both of you are "payers". they seems to treat people who need loans or grants with disdain. the grad rate is posted all over Google and the web. anyone can see it. the reviews of this school are fully half negative. esp the gi plan people. I did my due diligence carefully before I said anything.  all I am doing is telling people my story. I believe wgu is better and less expensive. I check them out carefully also.

I don't know where you are getting your info from but I can share my experience. This program has been revamped and is one of the fastest growing successful in terms of students graduating and passing their boards.

1. I attended USU for 2 years and yes with some Financial aide without a problem.

2. I graduated last year with most to all of my cohort which was pretty large and I don't know anyone who did not eventually graduate form the school unless the left the program.

3. I am licensed in 2 states and is currently opening up my own Family Health practice .

At the end of the day this program works if you allow it. You get what you put in, it's not a walk in the park as it should not be. People lives are dependent on you as a provider.

I am very glad you prospered in this program. most any program will if you apply yourself and the resources are there. you say its been revamped and maybe it was. however, you don't treat prospective students the way I was treated. you are lucky you are in a state where you can work without supervision. not many nps can. you gave me your experience and I've written about mine. we each have validity. good luck in your new practice.

Hello,

I am still struggling with finding a preceptor in the Sacramento area. Most of the clinics I contact already have a contract with UC Davis. After reaching out to every clinic in the area I finally found a preceptor, only to find out last week she is moving out of state. I am trying to find another preceptor by the end of the year. I was given some helpful advise from others on this site so I thought I would reach out again for any suggestions? Also are there any past students who have graduated that are willing to be a preceptor?

Thank you for this list.  Much appreciated.
