UNF Summer 2014 BSN hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone!

With the deadline only a little over a month away, I figured we all need a place to stress, hope and worry! I just took my first stab at the TEAS and hit the average score of the past few years (335). I have a 3.9 GPA. One pre-req left. Applying for ABSN. I'm scheduled for a second TEAS attempt next month. How is everyone else doing? Drooling over stats as much as I am?? Any interview preparation plans?

Uhhh Yeah guys, I have been checking my emails like a mad woman!! But nothing yet, I can't believe we still have to wait two more weeks or more! I can't take any trips in between here and now because I can't afford it. I'd love to, but no. I actually am going to get student loans to pay for my rent while I'm in school because I don't want to have to worry, and I need really good grades to even apply for Anesthetist school...

However, it has been my dream since my trip to China, to work in super rural 3rd world countries, where heath care is nonexistent. And I was never sure how I would be able to do it, until now. I found out about Doctors without Borders, (MSF) and I am getting so amped up about it. I really hope that I get an interview. I'm glad to know that you all are going stir-crazy too.

hopefully good news for everyone! anyone on here apply to FAU or UM? I wonder how competitive it is for those. I just wish these schools took a resume.

I am thinking about applying to UM... was hoping to hear something from unf first. Did you already apply there? I wonder how these all compare, too! Guess we'll have to wait and see!

I'm only applying to UNF and FSU. Brianna, are you applying for regular or accelerated? what's your stats?! And are you from Jacksonville? I too cannot wait to find out something soon!!! Last year they emailed interview invites on the 30th, so hopefully that will happen again this year! Sooo anxious

Ohh my goodness, the 30th?! Woo hoo that is terrifying haha. While I sure hope we do hear as soon as possible that freaks me out!

haven't applied to UM. still in the process of that. I applied for the accelerated track and I am actually from south Florida but I have visited UNF a lot over the past 4 years and I really like the area and campus. My stats are what I like to think decent. I have a 3.74 pre-req gpa and 86% of TEAS. I took all my pre-reqs at UF. And I remember them coming out so soon! I think FAU is comes out within the next two weeks since there interview is Feb 21st.

Congratulations!! Those are some good scores! I wish I was applying to more schools but I know I can't relocate to anywhere but Jax or Tallahassee:/ I'm pretty proud of everyone on this thread, everyone's stats are awesome!

Almost there, guys. How nerve racking! The stats are all really great, and to think, we're only 6 - 7 out of the 600+! Luck be with us all ;)

That sounds absolutely perfect for you! How exciting!! I hear ya on the student loans. I assure you, someone will have to help us pay to put my little one in daycare and I have a feeling it will be loans ;)

I'm definitely with you guys on the loans! No way I could do this plus work so I'll be looking for private loans soon (unfortunately I'm almost maxed out on federal from undergrad part 1). It's frustrating to have to take out more and we're trying to save every penny now so that we borrow as little as possible, but I know it'll be worth it when I have this amazing career.

I agree with you regarding stats, hepx3 and hellooonursh!! I'm impressed with everyone's stats and am hoping we all get great news soon!

I wonder how many applied this year! I hope good news for everyone! Everyone has worked so hard to get to this point.

Brianna- that's awesome! I think you and I are around the same in our stats, hope we get interviews. I'm from south Florida as well, and now that we are so close to finding out it seems like everyday just drags onnn
