UNE Accelerated BSN

Just wondering if there are any people applying for the new ABSN program at University of New England in Portland Maine. I am also interested in knowing if there are any current/past students who could comment on the nursing department at UNE (likes vs. dislikes, intructors/preceptors, etc.) Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if there is anyone out there who is applying to the UNE ABSN program for Spring 2015 start?!

Hi extrajamplease, I am applying for the UNE ABSN Spring 2015 program. I was surprised to find out that letters of recommendation and a personal statement were not required. Have you applied yet?

Hi Aceeden! I have applied already and found out mid June that I was accepted! It was my first choice so I'm definitely planning to attend next spring. I'm finishing up A&P2 and Human Growth and Development this fall so pending any crazy mishaps I'll be there next year. Have you applied yet?

I also applied for this upcoming spring 2015 cohort and recently been admitted : ) Where are you all from? I'm heavily leaning towards this program, but I really don't know much about it/portland, maine at all! Good luck to everyone and can't wait to hear from those that are enrolling in the spring.

Hey everyone,

I found out in June that I was accepted to this program for Spring 2015 cohort and I am definitely attending!! We should start a facebook group for this cohort to keep in touch about the program!

hi all! I'm so excited to hear from others that have gotten in! I'm originally from Vermont and have been living in Boston/VT since college. I'm heading up to Portland this weekend to check out the area/school since I've only been there once before. I've only heard great things about the area and program so far and am very excited to start!

I think an FB group is a great idea!

Nice! Ashley, do you currently live in VT? If so, we should definitely meet up sometime before school starts!!

It's going to be a fast train I guess.we could form study groups and make it work.also I was curious about the apartment.we could rent a house .Is that a good idea?
