Hello everyone,
I'm at square one. I'm in contact with someone in nursing administration at a hospital. This person mentioned that there should be a college online where I can do the coursework 100% online and do clinicals at a the hospital. Is there such a thing?
Thanks!

There is more to a pre-licensure education than classroom & clinical practicum. You also have 'labs' for sciences & nursing skills. You can never go straight from reading about a skill in a textbook to trying it out on a live patient - unless of course you're in med school (snarky LOL). You may be able to complete most of your pre-requisites online, but I don't know of any 100% online pre-licensure programs.
The process of attending school also builds skills and supports professional enculturation. Delivering 'live' presentations helps you polish your communication skills and confidence. When you work alongside other students in a lab setting you improve your team/group abilities and help 'teach' one another. Just showing up on time every day and meeting commitments will reinforce self-discipline & accountability. Getting up waaaay early and working strange hours is an inescapable part of nursing, so you have to become accustomed to that also. Nursing is a 'social' profession - we have to work & play well with others in order to be successful. Your classmates are the beginnings of your professional network - I am still in touch with people I met in undergraduate & grad school. There's just no way to develop these skills by yourself from the 'comfort' of your couch.
If you're serious about becoming a nurse, just bite the bullet and go for it!
