So I transferred schools from a community college to a university but now my GPA is to low to get into the nursing program at the university. So my advisor now has told me a route to take which is going back to community college and getting an AAS degree as an RN then go get my BSN but I was wondering if there were any other way i can go other than that route and the traditional way?

I'm confused why your GPA would be lower at a 4 year college vs a 2 year college if you have the same classes and statistics, but it's early so maybe my brain hasn't turned on yet. I think more info is needed to answer this question: how far along are you? All of the junior colleges in my area go off of a point system, so do you have enough points to get accepted at the community college you came from? You need to look at this objectively-time and money. If your former community college has a good and reputable program and you have a good chance of getting in, then it might behoove you to go that route because it would most likely be cheaper and less time. Then you could bridge over to a BSN while working as an RN. Just my thoughts.
