Uncharged, closed investigation

Published

When applying for initial licensure will the  board of nursing discover uncharged, closed police investigations in the background investigation? Please read my question carefully. A police report was filed by a citizen. There was an investigation by a local detective who then sent the investigation report to the office of the prosecuting attorney (county) and they declined to press charges. There was no arrest, no citation, and never any pending charges. They closed it. It could of course be re-opened as any investigation could but it is considered closed. I understand that arrests, expunged and sealed records, convictions, etc will all show. This is different. It was only an investigation.
