Uncertainty after interview at New York Presbyterian Cornell

Published

Does anyone have any experience interviewing with NewYork Presbyterian/Weill Cornell?

I just had an interview for an overnight psychiatry position that didn't go as well as I had hoped. Was asked a lot of examples of how I implemented care plans at my current job, but the thing is -- I've worked nights exclusively for 2 years. On a good night -- all the patients sleep!

I previously interviewed with HR at the Westchester campus for a similar position a few months ago and subsequently met with the nursing director and unit manager. This time around, I met with the senior nursing recruiter and was told that they'd review my application with the unit manager and call me back for a second interview if they were interested. It doesn't sound good...also considering that I traveled from Boston. I figured that if it went well, they'd have me meet with the unit manager right after (HR and the hospital are in different buildings).

I guess my question is -- if they were interested in hiring me, would I have continued onto the second interview on the unit? Maybe they'll take this time to call my references. I'm a little bummed about the whole experience =(
