UNC Chapel Hill, BSN Applicants

Are there any applicants to UNC Chapel Hill's BSN program for January 2008 admittance?

I still have not recieved any notifications for thier admissions decision and I was curious if any other applicants have received word? Or if they have any information on when we might expect to hear something?

I recieved my notification last week on the 28th and my letter was postmarked for the 23rd!!! I hope you hear something soon!

i still haven't received my letter. i'm assuming at this point that i didn't get in, but i'm also thinking i would have found out by now.:(

Candy Striper, I'm sorry to hear that you haven't heard anything back yet! I know that UNC did have the orientation sessions last week for accepted students! Have you called the school to check on your status?

I also recieved a waitlist letter, about two weeks ago. Have you received any information from UNC since being waitlisted? I have not as of today. : (

I also received a waitlist letter last month. It's so funny how they don't volunteer enough info when you call the admissions office. I called today and asked if anyone has been accepted off the waitlist, but they said "they couldn't answer my question". They say they'll accept pple up until the first day of class...

For anyone out there who was accepted for January 2009, what was your GPA in your science courses - Anatomy, Phyisology, Micro, Statistics, & Psycology? Do you live in NC or are you out-of-state?

NewLevel, I hear your frustrations! I was accepted from out of state, and I had A's in all of my pre-req's except one. I also had volunteer experience, and research experience too! I hope that you do get the opportunity to join the January class! Let me know if you have anymore questions!

Regarding the waitlist: I got the same response from them. I don't understand the logic behind thier secrecy. Why not just tell you where you fall on the list or if there has been any movement? I was waitlisted at Duke and it was a completely different experience. Being a UNC alum, their unwillingness to tell you anything is kind of dissapointing.

sskline, just curious - when were you waitlisted at Duke? What was their criteria? What reasons did they give for putting you on a waitlist? I'm considering applying there for May 09 in case I'm unable to start at UNC in January.
