UMSON CNL Spring 2017

Published

Hey everyone!

Just got confirmation that my application is complete and ready to roll for the UMD CNL Spring 2017 application term. Anyone else on here applying?

Hello @BEAUTY13,

The subject was titled "UMSON Clinical Nurse Leader Program Interviews"

The sender was [email protected]

I hope you find your email soon, good luck!

@rjhern92 thank you, I appreciate it.

@BEAUTY13, mine also says SON Clinical Nurse Leader, did you find it? You will know they could have sent you something if your status has changed. Has your status changed? @rjhern92, I do not think anybody wants to talk about the process so they do not get in trouble, but I would just say the essay is not something you would prepare for. If you read other posts you will understand it is not a college stuff, it is timed though, but it is nothing you cannot do. Also when I go for interviews, I try to learn tips on how to interview, possible questions or that. I believe you will be fine. They try to make the atmosphere comfortable and informal. So good luck.

@NURSEIN2019, I will also need that if I get accepted! I am waiting for their decision, its just been one week. Hoping and keeping my fingers crossed.

@cnl_inclined... Thank you. Yes my status changed to Committ Ready. I don't know how long it takes to send out the interview email. So am kind and hoping it was not sent, and then mistakenly got deleted. Is there anyway I can call the school and find out??? Does anyone knows.??

*anyone know??

Hello all,

I was admitted a few weeks ago and all of us that have been admitted have been in your exact shoes...checking our email and SURFS multiple times a day for an update change or an interview invite. Hold on! It will happen!

The essay portion is writing a basic essay in 30 minutes. if you know how to write a very basic essay you'll be fine. although 30mins goes by pretty fast; just gather your thoughts, take a deep breath and do it! you'll be fine:)

As for the interview, I definitely prepared for my interview. I studied the history and faculty/staff of the program and had my talking points ready. I also had several questions for them at the end of the interview regarding the program. I had lots to say regarding my goals, how confident I was that I would succeed in the program and I talked in depth about my current job (which is in the healthcare field).

As long as you prepare well, you'll be fine! I think they want to know you're interested in THEIR program, which you prove during the interview!

Best of luck to those who are waiting! oh and yes someone else said it best, don't give up if you've been rejected. I was rejected last semester (i didn't even get an interview) however, I re-took some classes (which come to find out didn't help my application this go round ;) and revamped some things in my application for consistency and viola! I'm admitted!

let me know if you'll have any other questions! I'm glad to help!

@Nursein2019 yes! we can definitely study together! that would be awesome!

@BEAUTY13, my status changed on Friday and I got the invite on Monday. If it has been more than 3 days my status changed I would call them. You should hear from them by now. Maybe if you don't hear from them by Monday I would consider calling. If you go to their site and click on cnl then click on apply, under cnl, their number is right there, and I think it's option 2. If you don't get the number by tomorrow I'll help you get it out. Don't have my mac here, if by tomorrow you don't find it let me know and I'll give it to you. Good luck

Hello Everyone! I had a quick question. I submitted my essay and was not able to see my score. Is everyone able to see their score? Thank you!

I didn't see a score when I did mine. I remembered some people saying they got a score though.
