overall gpa 4.0
science gpa 4.0
TEAS is 68.7% proficient level
Had good letters of recommendation and I believe I had strong essays too.
Little volunteer experience in health care.
Never doubt yourself. I got in with my TEAS score in the proficient level. I believe they are looking all round student. Wish you all the best.
I don't know what you consider a lot, but I doubt it's too many. At least with Washington College and Mount St. Mary's, we have to take the course requirements for a Bio or Health Science major in addition to the pre-reqs. That can mean Organic chem, calculus, and 400 level biology classes. So not a ton of people actually make the cut, at least from my school.On a slightly different note: NurseLaur or Grey Lady, since UMSON just does A, B, C, not A+/- etc, does that mean if you get a provisional admit you can still get a B- in one of your classes?
It depends. I can tell you that if you are Provisional Admit as of right now, a B- will not cause your offer to be rescinded. But a C probably would, especially in a science course. Don't cut it too close!
Wow, only 164 out of 400!
What that number does NOT tell you is how many of those 400 will be rejected, how many were not serious and did not even finish their application, how many will reject our offer and how many will lose their seat because they got a C in their last prerequisite. Those numbers are not firm until the admissions process is over and the classes are complete. Typically, however, both campuses receive 2 to 3 applicants per seat and it varies from one semester to the next. So you really can't predict your chances based on the number of applicants.
For everyone who is not a pathway student, therefore a traditional applicant, are you receiving "provisional admit" too? I wold have assumed only pathway get the "provisional"?
Provisional admit simply means the last transcripts for outstanding courses have not yet been received and it applies to both traditional and pathway students.
Getting nervous. Lots of people so far that got in have high GPAs and mine are lacking.![]()
I've been Committee Ready since end of February. Congrats to everyone who got in! And good luck to everyone else still waiting.
@Grey Lady,
Could you give us an update on what is happening with decisions? Like how many have gotten in for both campuses and how it is being released? Thank you.
About half the total number of seats have offers out which includes all the partnership students have been made as of yesterday. More will likely be made today but I have no idea how many.
This make me really nervous !!! My application stay committee ready.
It should not make you nervous - there is a long way to go yet. Rejected applicants have been notified although I don't know if all of them have. Once all the seats are filled the remaining applicants will be wait listed. As each applicant turns down our offer, we fill that seat from the wait list. Also, some applicants will change their minds, run into financing difficulty or just generally get cold feet. Some even find out they applied for the wrong campus and the one they really wanted is full. We take 10 to 15% of the class from the wait list. My advice to all of you is to try not to figure things out - you can't - just be patient as much as you can and don't check your status more than once a day.
