I'm about to start spring semester as a new admit.
I did not have the best GPA, but I have a lot of extracurriculars and I did well on the TEAS. Don't let anything get you down, if you are worried about your grades, try to explain them in your essay. I worked as a CNA for the past year and that may have helped, but don't let anything stand in your way. Apply with what you have and hope for the best!

That is just awesome!!! Congrats on getting in and proving that UMSON really does take the whole application into account.

My application finally changed to "Complete Ready for Review"! Ahhhh now to wait...

I am applying too! Does anyone else have an application listing as incomplete, still? I have submitted everything (and it lists everything as received) but it still says incomplete.

They probably have not gotten around to updating it. Mine was like that a few days ago until I called the admissions number. They are very helpful.

ONLY a 3.59? That is a lovely GPA - well done! I am curious as to what leads you to think it is inadequate.

Well, after reading a lot of these forums I've come to realize that I probably won't get in. I have two outstanding science courses and a "C" in A&P I. I applied because it said you just need a 3.0 or greater in sciences which I have.

I will retake and apply for spring, but I read that that a "C" in a science is kind of a deal-breaker. So bummed because I got a 100 on the A&P and the earth and physical science parts of the TEAS with a 87 point something for science overall.

I took TEAS test today paper version, but still do not get my score someone has opinion about that? If I did not get it by tomorrow, I think my application will be cancelled because it is incomplete ! By the way, how long does it take to UMSON if I mail them? Do I still have time!

You may still have time ql279. You can go to the ATI website and pay for them to send your scores to the school. I think that they email them a PDF with your scores on it. It cost me about 26 bucks when I had them send it. You could also call the admissions office and ask them for options.

I took it back in November and scored an 88.7. Hopefully that is good enough. From what I have read, they look at the whole person concept. The hardest part for me was the personal essay. I wasn't sure how long it should have been.

Hey ambz13,

I also have a C in a science course (microbiology from a long time ago... it was an unfair grade, and I contested it, but for legal reasons the college couldn't take it off my transcript). I retook the class and got an A, and I scored in the 99th percentile on the TEAS. Where did you read that the C in science is a deal breaker?
