UMASS Worcester - GEP 2020

Hey everyone,

As I am applying to MA programs I did not see a new topic for the GEP program for 2020. Thought I would make one and see if anyone on here is/has applied already and start chatting with one another.

OK great, thank you @FutureAdultGeroNP ! I am still waiting to be approved for the page too. Also, the open house for our program is June 22nd for anyone who is wondering.

Hi everyone, it sounds like the fb isn't readily accepting people. I was wondering if someone would be willing to bring the original fb group back?

OK so this is confusing... someone from my class created a group for your class named: UMass Med GEP 2024

She didn't realize that another group had already been created. Apparently new students were trying to join our group from last year. Has anyone tried to contact the guy who created the other group (Luis)?

Anyhow, feel free to join the new group!

I sent a message to him but no answer. I can create one if people want me to but I was directed to join Luis's.

I’m applying for GEP AGACNP track!
Thank you folks for starting this forum With all this info & FB grp! I finally couldn’t wait anymore and called Diane this AM, she was really sweet and saw my application was in review, so sent an email to my reviewer for status! I received an email saying they had tried to reach out with an interview invitation prior (I didn’t receive anything, so glad I called)! Anyway, I’m scheduled for an interview March 16! I hope I can join you all whom have been accepted!

Are they pretty quick at acceptance after interview?

Hi Grace!

I am also in the GEP AGACNP track for 2024. I had my interview a couple weeks ago and I recently received a call from the head of admissions (Diane) stating that I was accepted. ?

To answer your question- how it works is that after the interview, your application will be forwarded to the "admissions board" for further review. They meet every other Thursday and typically you find out that day (don't hold me to it, this is just based off what I was told/experienced). I am assuming you will hear something on March 26th based on your interview date. You will get a call first, then the official letter/financial aid information if applicable.

Hi Everyone, with there being much confusion about the fb group created and people still waiting to be accepted including myself, I reached out to admissions with the hopes that someone will create a new fb group. I just got word that there is a new official facebook group that has been made for our class called "UMass Med GSN Incoming Class 2020" please join if you have not done so already! ?
