umass Boston Accelerated Option 2018

Hello all. I noticed there was not topic for UMass Boston Accelerated Program 2018 yet so I thought I would start one. Anyone else applied? I finished the application process in early October and now just waiting.

I applied as well. Submitted my application on the deadline of December 1st. Hoping we hear back by January! In past threads it looks as though you hear back around Christmas time.

Hi,

I submitted my application right before the deadline also and just recently received the completion email. I'm super nervous right now! Did they say they accept about 30-39 students per year?

Yes, I believe its somewhere around those numbers. Very competitive.

Did you apply to other schools or just Umass?

I also applied to MGH and Simmons!

It is really competitive. I am currently only applied to UMass Boston. My stats class is out of date for Mass General, so I would have to retake that one or get a waiver (hopefully they would give me one). I know we are all crossing our fingers and toes. I check on the status of my application daily to see if there is any change from complete to... something else. I tried to just not check it and wait, but by the end of the day I have to check.

I also applied to Salem State and might apply to Umass Amherst.

How did you guys do on the TEAS? I didn't do that well...

Hi all! I also applied to UMass Boston in October. Really hoping to hear back by Christmas! I also applied to MGH, Simmons, Regis, MCPHS Worcester. So far I have gotten into Regis, but have not heard back from the rest.

Hi Haileym. Congratulations on Regis and good idea applying to a bunch of schools. I know I will have to take another prerequisite or two in order to apply anywhere else. That is one of the several reasons why I really liked U-Mass as I did not need to take as many classes before I could apply. We are in breath holding mode now. Every day I wait to see if something came in the mail. Good luck!!

I am not sure if your application statues changes on the website. I check that a lot to see if they update it before the letters are sent.
