UMass Amherst BSN Jobs

Hi All,

I am hoping that some UMass Amherst BSN grads could help me out with a few questions. I was recently accepted to both the UMass Amherst 2nd Bachelor's Degree program as well as another ABSN program at a private, well respected school. Both programs will require that I take out loans to help finance my education, but UMass is definitely the more affordable option. However, I hope to work in larger hospitals and work in a variety of settings (i.e. move out of western mass) and am wondering if any grads had trouble finding employment outside of the Amherst area. Would anyone be willing to share where they were first employed after graduating and what their starting salary was? If you would feel more comfortable PM'ing me the info, that is great! Also, could you share if you felt like your experiences at UMass prepared you for future work? Thank you in advance for all your help!!!!
