Ultrasound technician in IL. Where to study?

I was looking for Ultrasound technician programmes in IL & could not find any. I live in Chicago. Does anybody know colleges which offer this programm?Are there any ultrasound technicians here & if yes, where did you study? Thank you!

DNW826, I just looked at both places you mentioned. it seems that have radiology programms only. Can I look somewhere else?

I had a friend who graduated from SIU-C and only had to do an internship to be certified for ultrasound, I believe, before she graduated. You just have to ask them, or look further into the website. That was about 3 years ago. At parkland, it is radiology, but I believe that if you ask them, they may have an internship or something similar to get you certified once you are a radiology tech. I know there is another one in between the two in IL, I just can't think of the name right now.

Harper college in Palatine offers ultrasound

moraine valley community college might have one. i know they have a rad tech program. good luck!

South Suburban college has a radiology tech program. After you graduate you go on to get a certificate or something for mammography or mri or ultrasound.

Triton College in Maywood may offer one, and it's close to you too. It was one of the first schools to have an U/S tech program.

To find any accredited school in most fields which is subject to the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs you can go to the website www.caahep.org and search by state or accreditation status....
