Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me. I am a UK trained RN - I hold a degree and have 3 years experience in adult nursing. I am moving to the states next year - Tennessee specifically, and I wonder what I need to do to work there. Will I just be classed as an LPN because of the differences in our training? In ehich case, how do I go about converting from LPN to RN?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

A lot will depend on what your transcripts state and hours in Paeds, Mental Health, Obstetrics and Adult will be required and I believe this is for both LPN and RN. Starting point would be the state Board of Nursing and meeting their requirements for International trained
