UK trained RN looking to move to USA

Hi there

I am a qualified registered nurse looking to move to San Fransisco. I am desperately seeking advice about how to go about this. I have been doing some research and I understand that it is a timely process which I don't mind but I just don't even know where to start so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
