UIC Fall 2011 Nurse Practitioner Program - BSN -> MSN

Published

On March 28th, 2011 I had an interview for the Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioner program. I was wondering if anyone has received acceptance letters for any of the Nurse Practitioner programs yet? Also there was a total of 27 applicants that were interviewd for the Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioner program. Does anyone have an idea of how many applied prior to the interviews and how many will be selected out of the 27 that received interviews? The anticipation is growing now!!!!

I need to correct myself it was February 28th, 2011.

Specializes in EMS, ED, Trauma, CEN, CPEN, TCRN.

Moved to the post-grad forum (vs. the GN forum) to encourage responses.

Congrats! I just got into the msn-fnp program there ! :)

Congrates!!! When did you get your acceptance letter? So when are you starting the FNP program? I'm getting anxious to receive some kind of letter!!!! Hopefully acceptance though :) hope to hear of other individuals experiences too....

I got mine April 4th! Im starting in the Fall!!! Good Luck! I hope you hear some good news soon! :)

I gor my acceptance letter today!!!!! I'm also starting the NP program this Fall. My specialty is adult/gerontological program. I can't wait to start!!!!

I got my acceptance letter for the Fall 11 MSN-FNP and im so excited!! I am a new graduate nurse and I know of only one other new grad in the program so far... Has anyone else been accepted as a new grad? I'm in need of some serious advice. :)

I just graduated December 2010, and got my RN this December.

Oh thats great! I'm going to be at the Rockford campus because I guess all the Chicago spots were already filled. So I'm looking for jobs in Chicago and commuting to Rockford.

Large responsibility with work and school. I wish I could give you some advice but my plan is live on campus due to moving to Chicago from a state 8 hours away. I'm making a huge transition from a town of a population of 500 to a huge city. I thought working on top of that would have been to much in a 4 month semester timing. Good luck and again Congrates to all who got acceptance or on waiting list.
