Who here has applied to either UIC or DePaul? How far along are you in the admissions process? Did you have an interview--how did it go? What information have you gotten from their admissions offices regarding the number of applicants and the number of seats available and number of slots on the wait list?

I applied to UIC and had an interview last week and am dying for more information. I was told that UIC has selected 100 people to interview for roughly 40 spots, but I don't know how many people applied overall. I was also told that they would be making final decisions in May. May seems like so far away and any little bit of information seems to help make the wait more bearable. Thanks:idea:

No one has applied? I wonder where all these 300 applicants are?

I applied for the Depaul Masters Entry Program about the middle of this March and found out about 3 weeks later I had gotten accepted. I will be starting there this fall. I'm pretty excited. I wanted to apply to the UIC program, because it was cheaper, but I was missing a few pre-reqs.

The UIC deadline for notification is May 15th. Anyone heard anything yet?

hiya,

Don't forget to read in the students forum, graduate/phd/so on as they have a pretty detailed thread about direct entry pre and post start!

p.s. I am just about to complete year one of DePaul's MENP and even though I at first wanted UIC's I am sooo glad to be in a two year generalist program because the MSN RN at end of year two is much better for me, than waiting until completion of the entire NP before being awarded a degree

Hi there,

I myself just got accepted for Winter 06/07 at DePaul. How do you like the programs so far? Good points? Not-so-good points? I'm sure we want to hear what you have to say! Leave no stone unturned!
