Hi,
I was speaking with a friend and she had mentioned that there may be an expiration date for classes taken for UHM nursing pre-reqs. I know there is an expiration for science pre-req classes at KCC but didn't think there was one for UH. If there is an expiration, I would need to take an additional class this fall. I would greatly appreciate any help if any of you know the answer. Thank you!

You can forget about retaking the extra class (unless you want a refresher), because the prereq credits don't expire at UHM. Although I retook several science classes in order to apply for KCC, my UHM application was full of dusty credits. Only KCC's science credits expire after five years (except for chem...which does not expire). All other credits for both schools (psych, math, etc.) have no expiration date.
Thank you! I called UH and they were able to verify that classes do not expire. I am so glad that I don't have to take any more classes than necessary. I also realize that it is so important to go over and verify all classes. I had taken a Chemistry class on the mainland. UH said that it would transfer as a class equivalent to Chem 161 BUT they only gave me 2.66 credits for it . HCC had transferred it over with 3.0 credits so I had assumed that UH would also accept it as such. If I hadn't checked, I wouldn't qualify if I had gotten accepted. So, I am taking Chem this fall.
