UFV 3 year fast track Questions

Hello! I am a current UFV student, with a application in for the BSN Fall 2014 entrance. I selected the 3 year fast track as my 1st choice on my application. I cannot seem to find a specific outline for the fast track program anywhere on UFV website, and just wanted to know a little more about the schedule. From the little I have read/understand it that the program goes through the Summer, with a longer winter break?

If a current fast track student, or someone who knows more of the specifics regarding the program could let me know, I would appreciate it!

Also, I know there are 48 spots in the Sept intake...how many of those are fast tracked?

16 of the spots are fast track. Right now we are on a 10 day break between semester 2 and 3. The 4 years are going into consolidation for 4 weeks and then they are off for the summer. The 3 yrs finish semester 3 the end of July have 2 weeks off and then head into semester 4 which is until mid November. That is when our big break starts. In January we go back for 8 weeks of clinical consolidation before another few weeks off before semester 5 in May. Semester 6 in Sept, 7 in January and then semester 8 in the spring finishing in August. Hope that helps :)

Thanks it does! I had my interview for the program at the beginning of the month, won't know if I'm in until May 16th!! The waiting sucks, I just really hope I'm accepted! Enjoy your break :)

I was accepted to the 3 year fast track program at UFV, starting in September!

I did get in last year! We just started our summer semester so now I'm in 2nd year! Time flies!! The program is a lot of work there is no way around it but it is completely doable. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security in the 1st month of 1st year lol they ease you in slow but when things pick up they pick up.

The amount of things we are expected to do/know will blow your mind so try and keep up and stay organized!! Personally still working on that one but eventually you have no choice lol.

Congrats and good luck in the fall! I am sure your eager but believe me when I say just try to RELAX AND ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!! This time next year doing three heavy semesters back to back you'll be begging for time off!

hahaha just realizing now that your post was 2014!!

Thank you for the great advice for my September start. Im so nervous but of course more excited. I will try to enjoy this precious free time i have this summer before chaos ensues.
