Oh my! I'm studying a year in advance and I am praying for that score! You did great !

HESI really isn't bad, I don't think you would need more than a couple weeks to study for it

yeah I agree I wouldn’t worry about it until like a month before!

Thank you! But yeah I agree with everyone else, I wouldn't worry about it too much and I'm sure you'll do great!!

Hey everyone! I hope you all are safe and healthy during these difficult times! I have applied as a transfer student to the UF BSN program. I currently attend FGCU and was accepted to the nursing program there for the fall, but I would love to attend the University of Florida as I have heard amazing things about the program. I applied with a 3.8 GPA and a 92 on my HESI. I put a lot of time and thought into answering the essay questions so I hope they will help me. I am wishing everyone the best of luck! We got this!

Hey guys! Has anyone contacted UF to see if all this craziness is pushing back when we find out?

I emailed ------------------- and asked him about when we’d find out. He said the end of May / early June, but it would most likely be early June.

Does anyone know if there is a Spring admission?

The Traditional BSN program is Fall admit only. Most major universities only do Fall admit nursing because they only offer classes in one semester or another.

Hi all! I hope you guys get in :) I'll be attending UF as a freshman this Fall hoping to later be accepted into their BSN program. Is there any volunteer programs, clubs, or particular things the admissions team really likes to see besides high GPA and HESI scores? Or any tips to take in for the first year? I'm also having a couple DE and AP credit coming in but I believe those don't do anything to your GPA because it's just credits.

CONGRATS on getting into UF! Yes a strong GPA and HESI score are very important, and DE and AP sadly do not count towards your GPA. I would also emphasize that your involvement in clubs and volunteering should reflect what you are passionate about! They doesn't necessarily all need to be medical-related things. With that being said, I personally volunteered at the hospital as well as at a few community food banks and childcare programs. In terms of clubs, I joined the UFSNA and became a part of DM at UF. But by no means do you need to be involved in these things. My biggest tip for freshman year in general is to slow down and really enjoy your time here at UF ?

Oh okay thank you! Because of the virus I believe their volunteer window for the Summer is closed for safety precautions so I can't sign up for it at the moment. I was told they do interviews for the volunteers though. Is it particularly competitive to get a slot as a volunteer in the hospitals?
