Ok y'all I was wondering if anyone has heard of using this product with children. Basically, a friend of mine told me that her pediatrician said that she should be using a moisturizing cream on her 6 month old because the baby has some dry skin especially during the winter months. My friend also has dry skin too and she has been using a product called "Udderly Smooth" (which I had recommended to her after some success with the product on my own dry skin) because a lot of the other creams she had been trying made her itch or produced some sort of reaction. She asked me if I thought she could try using the product on the baby and my first recommendation was to consult the pediatrician but since the pediatrician wasn't familiar with the product he didn't seem to have an opinion one way or another but to just give it a try and watch for a reaction. I looked at the website and saw that it is a fragrance-free moisturizing cream that has a lot of positive feedback with use in adults and great success with diabetic and cancer patients but doesn't have a lot of information about use in children. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of it being used with infants and children with dry skin? My thoughts are that since the pediatrician seems to think its ok to try and the website discusses its use with both diabetic and cancer patients (patient populations with delicate skin needs) it might be ok for my friend to give the cream a try on the baby but start off with a very small amount on a little area of the skin and watch for any changes or negative reactions. If after a few applications there appears to be no negative affects then it is probably fine to use. Any thoughts?
