UCSF New Grad Program 10/2016

Hi Everyone!

I recently applied to UCSF's new grad program that will start October 2016. I'm starting this thread in hopes to meet other new nurses who applied and we can stay in touch with one another.

Hi vee_24 some people in my cohort that graduated at the end of May did not have their license posted yet and were unable to apply even though they took NCLEX early/mid June! Mine was one of the faster ones to post exactly a week after taking NCLEX and only a few weeks before the application period closed in July!

They're strict on having your CA RN license when you apply.

Hi everyone.

I am still in nursing school at Columbia University in New York...thinking about next steps. Our degrees are conferred in Aug 2017 and we take NCLEX in Sept 2017.

I keep trying to find info about the application cycles for UCSF nurse residency and HR isn't very informative.

Help!

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you have to be an RN to apply, I graduate from a Bsn program in may 2017, can I still apply for the October 2017? Thanks!

Yes, they require RN licenses to apply. But it doesn't hurt to try applying. :)
