UCSF New Grad Program 2023 Questions

Updated:   Published

Hello all,

I am at the last semester of the ABSN program at Samuel Merritt. I'm expecting to graduate in early Jan and plan to take the NCLEX early Feb and no later than late Feb. I would like to know the timeline for applying to UCSF's nursing new grad Spring program 2023. Any past experiences with UCSF to share will be greatly appreciated.

I asked at the end of my interview. They said we'll find out by the end of this week or beginning of next week.

is this specifically for ICN? I know you guys had a third interview so you bled into this week, but I was under the impression that other units that finished up last week would know by the end of this week?

I'm just curious, do you and RnNursing2023 have your license yet or have an exam date scheduled? Just trying to see if they filtered us out based on those being completed. Thanks

Hi! I got my license a few months ago. I'm not completely sure about their criteria

Yes I got my license a few months ago as well. I didn't know that you could apply without a license.

has anyone heard from adult hem/onc?

or has anyone else gotten an offer or rejection?

Hi! During my interview, the unit manager said offers should go out by Friday. Hope we hear good news by then!

Hey, has anyone else in this group interviewed in person for adult ED, or have a friend that did ? And has anyone from Adult ED heard back from anyone since their interview ? I just forgot to ask them at the end of my interview when they will be making decisions. Thanks

Hello, I had an in person interview last week with the ED and received a phone call on Tuesday offering me a position (Yayy!!) They said they were hiring 3 new grads. Hope this helps.

Oh OK. Well, Congratulations! I interviewed in person last Wednesday with ED, but I haven't heard anything back yet. So, I imagine that I was not one of the three selected if they have already made calls. I would assume they called the three they want right away, and then will probably wait to send rejection letters to the other 4 once they confirm that the 3 selected accept the offers. well see.... but Congrats again!

Does anyone know how many they interviewed for ICN final round? Second round they interviewed over 50, so I'm wondering how many they cut down by ?

I guess most offers have went out already? ?
