UCSD student nurse externship

Has anyone completed an externship at UC San Diego? If so, what unit did you work and how was your experience? How supportive was the staff on your unit? Lastly, what system did you use (CERNER)?

I only did clinical rotations there (Thornton and Hillcrest). I believe they use EPIC and PCIS.

Thanks for your response! I ended up completing an externship there last semester and they do use EPIC for charting and Pyxis for meds. I also found the staff to be pretty awesome. I was at Hillcrest only.

Does anyone know what the timeline is in when we find out if we were accepted and how many students get accepted? I know that application was Due July 1st, but I'm dying to hear back!! :nailbiting:
