UCSD New Grad (FMCC/NICU/Perinatal Program) 2013

Hi, everyone! I am starting this thread to see if anyone out there has applied to- and possibly interviewed with- UCSD earlier in November for their new grad perinatal program (or for another program if you would like to share too). I applied and had an interview earlier this week and am trying my best to wait patiently, but knowing I'm not waiting alone would be nice :)

How was your interview? Did they say that you would hear back this week?

I just got an email that was a little confusing. It was a rejection letter for the NICU loop saying thank you for interviewing but we've chosen another candidate. However, I only interviewed for the L&D loop- never even met the NICU manager. So I'm really hoping the letter only pertained to the NICU loop and that I still have a chance for the L&D loop (haven't heard from them). I emailed them back asking for clarification.

Has anyone else heard anything yet? For those who interviewed for the L&D loop, when were you told you would hear back? They told me around 2 weeks, maybe a little longer and my interview was on May 31.

Just checked my status, & it says 'interviewed-pending decision'.. if anyone heard anything from them, please give us updates!

Hi Rainingeleven, did u get any clarification from your sent email to them?

When I got interviewed, they told me around 2 weeks as well. also, they received 400 applicants for 2 positions, that's just sad. When will this economy recover? :/

Yes, she wrote back and confirmed that the rejection email was only referring to the NICU loop (the position I did not interview for)...so still waiting to hear back from L&D. This wait is awful!

I havent heard anything from them. Any updates for the L&D loop??

Nothing yet! It's been almost 3 weeks since my interview...hoping they let us know soon!

So my status changed from 'referred to hiring department' to 'consideration for interview'.. I'm a bit confused. I already got an interview. I'm interpreting this 2 ways either its a late entry or another interview will be scheduled? Someone pls enlighten me![/quote']

Hi SDRN, was just wondering How long did it take for your status to change from 'referred to hiring department' to 'consideration for interview' or the time period for getting a call for an interview from the time you saw your status as 'referred to hiring etc etc..'?

After applying, I got a call a week later. Did a phone interview and was scheduled for an interview the following week. My status was 'interviewed-pending decision' for almost 4 weeks, and just now got a reject email :( I was close, hopefully next time around ill get it. Good luck to all still on the run!
