UCONN CEIN/BS Program

Hi everyone!

I am currently considering applying to UCONNS CEIN program and am in need of reviews/experiences with this program. I have already been accepted into Three Rivers nursing program and am weighing the pros and cons of both.

Has anyone already gone through the UCONN CEIN program that can give me good and bad experiences? Or any thoughts on the program at all!

Thanks!

Also.. was anyone able to work while in this program?

I'm currently in the program and I would not recommend working. It is intensive and fast-paced. Some students work <20 hours/week in the medical field (PCA, CNA), but most if them say it's a struggle.

I didn’t work when I was in the program but a lot of my classmates did. You can do it if you have to but I totally would not recommend it if you can get by without it!

And also to add, I did the program years ago 2011 but had a good experience. I now work as a school nurse and have several UConn cein students come through for clinicals, I think it’s like every other Connecticut nursing school at least I hear the same complaints as my st joes accelerated degree program. Location of class and clinical I would investigate in relation to where you live
