UCLA New Grad Program 2010

Has anyone heard anything back from the UCLA New Grad Summer Program for 2010? I applied in the beginning of February and have only had a phone interview so far, with no feedback yet. Any info or others' experience would be much appreciated, thank you!

I had the interview the first week of Feb. I applied to emergency services, peds, and medsurg. I hate waiting! What do you think?

I was just notified today of having a phone interview. So I guess they are still in the process. What was the phone interview like? Personality type stuff?

Oh ok, good to know - thank you for your response! And yes, the phone interview was like a personality test almost. A lot about your beliefs and how you would react in certain situations/scenarios. Good luck!

We're not supposed to talk about the specifics of the interview - that was one of the "rules" we agreed to abide by before the questions began. Sorry. (Also, you're competition! haha :p ) It's literally things as trivial as, "Would you describe yourself as a worrier?" There's really no way to prepare other than having good work stories and answering honestly. Don't worry, take a deep breathe :)

I, too, have done the phone interview and completed my references. I'm now waiting to hear more - hopefully an in person interview? eh?? I applied to ER, OR, and Peds, in that order.

Hi there everyone,

I too had the phone interview second week of feb. I haven't heard from UCLA yet but I called them they said they have not done any in person interviews yet. They said probably in acouple of weeks they will let people know. They said you will receive an email if you're not moving through to the next round and they will call if you go through for the face to face interview. I think they are still doing the phone interviews..I'm getting anxious and I kept calling them..I hope we can all get a job at UCLA..it will make me really really happy!!! :) good luck to us!

hello, i too had the interview earlier this week... so nervous, i applied for the trauma ICU, ER, Cardiothoracic ICU... just wondering what kind of experience everyone has?! and also good luck to everyone!

I applied for the ICU's as well. Finally completed my phone interview. Now we can all just hope for the best! But let's definitely keep each other posted!

I also had a phone interview and I have to say...what a weird interview! I kept answering my questions and then they would say "give an example" after I had already given one...LOL. Good to know they will let us know either way. I'm so anxious!! Good luck to everyone! I really want Peds!:heartbeat
