Hello Fellow Nurses!

I wanted to start a thread for the UCLA MSN-APN Fall 2017 Application. I am applying for the Adult/Gero Acute Care Specialty. Who else is applying and for what specialty?!

Good Luck to all who apply! :)

some people have others are still waiting

just wanted to say hi since i found this forum. i got recently accepted in FNP. i am excited in meeting all of you. are any of you taking summer classes ?

Hi for those that were accepted, where did you take the Physical Assessment course? Mine from undergrad isn't listed as approved and I think my phys will be too old so I'll have to retake that as well.

Everyone has to take Phys. Assess at UCLA over the summer.

Thank you! I know it says that "A course syllabus is required upon submission of your application", does that mean you don't need physical assessment prior to turning in the application? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm planning to attend an information session but it's not until July.

Technically, You do not need any prerequisites when you apply you just need them completed before you actually start.

When you applied, did you use all professional recommendations or academic as well?

Yes, I used both, professional and academic. Good luck!

I took mine at UCLA. Mine wasn't approved either however the class at UCLA is amazing. You will learn a lot and it's a good introduction for what's to come in the program.
