UCLA MECN FALL 2013

Have been looking around and haven't really seen a topic on this yet. This is my dream school/program. I am from Seattle so I am having to get a lot of info from them long-distance instead of going to an information session. Has anyone gone to an information session yet?

Looking at last year's thread, around 460 people applied. This year over 500 applied

How did you find out how many people applied? Also I wonder if they will accept a bigger class again this year or go back to a smaller cohort.

Cool, I'm from Cali too. Have you guys looked at some of the news articles on the school's website? I think it was in 2010 or 2011 that their nursing students received free ipods. There's a picture of nursing students wearing coats holding their new ipods. That was awesome!! I think they may be one of the few nursing schools that provide white coats to their students.

Also from the area, graduated from UCLA in 2010.

I think UCLA holds a white coat ceremony if I'm not mistaken.

Hey Sandstone,

On last year's thread someone mentioned that they called the office to confirm how many people applied for the 2012 cohort. I hope they keep the admitted number at 90 for this year too!

I'm from Washington State, just outside of Seattle. The office told you that over 500 applied this year?!! Didn't think I could get anymore terrified, but there you go...

That's only a couple more weeks! Let me know when you guys start receiving letters. I would imagine that those living in Southern California would know before us living in Northern California
