Have been looking around and haven't really seen a topic on this yet. This is my dream school/program. I am from Seattle so I am having to get a lot of info from them long-distance instead of going to an information session. Has anyone gone to an information session yet?
Based on past years.... 2011 and 2012 historical data from the UCLA MECN FORUMS. It appears you will find out the first few days into March rather than mid March as claimed by the website. Graduate programs like to give a cushion just in case things awry and they need extra time. UCLA has been doing this for a while, so I am pretty sure they have it done to a science. I would almost bet money$$$ that you will have your letter mailed to you by Friday and could check your status online. And that brings me to my second point, you will be able to find out if you have been rejected online by checking the status of your application and clicking on the Fall 2013 term, putting in your password, and advancing through the screens. This behavior has been described multiple times for the past 2 years and I highly doubt it is going to change. I would even go as far as to say the admission staff gave individuals who kept calling the same response date (Mid March) to cover themselves and to be consistent with the website. Critically think about it for a min.

I'm going to try and stay as busy as possible over the next few weeks! I would love to hear more about the discussion pertaining to clinical hours for the MECN program...When I went to an information session, it was stressed that the program had the most nursing clinical hours in the state. Did anyone else go to an information session? :)
