Members are discussing their experiences and questions related to applying for Clinical Nurse I positions at UCI, including the application process, timeline for interviews, residency program details, and requirements for licensure. Some members are seeking advice on when to apply based on their graduation date and whether prior experience is necessary for these positions.
Hi I was wondering if anybody had any insight on the Clinical Nurse I postings that UCI has released so far? I applied to 3—med surg, neuroscience stepdown, and trauma neuro, but I was wondering if they will post any more? And does anyone have any information on the actual residency and how it works? I know you get put in automatically if you get hired but any more info would be appreciated!

• Current California RN license or Interim Permit by time of hire
• All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Since I would be an external candidate, I'd have to wait until I graduate in December to apply then, right? I think I would just have to have my NCLEX scheduled and pass before hire date IF they were to hire me. Just want to make sure I interpreted this correctly!
yes

No luck with interviews either. Been under review for a while, I just keep applying when I see new Clinical Nurse 1 positions open.
