UCI Clinical Nurse I - Fall 2024

Hi I was wondering if anybody had any insight on the Clinical Nurse I postings that UCI has released so far? I applied to 3—med surg, neuroscience stepdown, and trauma neuro, but I was wondering if they will post any more? And does anyone have any information on the actual residency and how it works? I know you get put in automatically if you get hired but any more info would be appreciated!

Hello, I also applied for some Clinical Nurse 1 positions. Hope someone can give us insight into the process since there doesn't seem to be much info online.

hello I had a phone interview for a clinical nurse 1 med surg position yesterday and they said they would let candidates know whether they moved onto the in person interview today or Monday

Thanks for the update! How long did it take for them to contact you? I have been under review for a med/surg unit for about a week and for step down about 3 weeks.

I applied to medsurg about a week and a half ago!

did u have any connections to uci prior to your phone interview? like did u know a recruiter or did u work at uci before?

no I didn't, I also went to school out of state although I am from oc

Hello, I applied to Clinical nurse 1 positions for medical ICU, med surg/tele, and trauma/neuro. My application is under review right now for medical ICU and the rest say "received submission". Anyone have insight on this hiring process? I am a new grad hoping to get hired! Also anybody know how competitive it is? Thanks 🙂

To everyone that applied for any clinical nurse I position,

I graduate with my BSN this december, but I am trying to secure or go through interviews prior to graduating. For this specific UCI residency program, would you guys recommend that I wait until I am licensed? Just because I wouldn't know when the position would start or when they would contact me for an interview.

Any advice would be appreciated! thank you 🙂

To my knowledge, UCI requires you to have your license before applying! Some hospitals do not require you to have your License when applying!
