Hello, I started this new forum because I didn't see any for the fall of 2016. I applied to the UCF/Valencia concurrent program. If anyone wants to share their stats or let us know when you do get accepted. Idk this is new to me lol. I can't remember my stats at moment but my TEAS overall was 82.7 I believe and my science was 85.7 or 87.5.
My GPA is 3.3 (I know pretty low, I wasn't focused at the beginning of college -.-) I graduated with my A.A from Miami Dade College. And that's pretty much all my info sort of :)
I'm in the concurrent program as well. My stats were
cumulative GPA: 3.12
Non-science GPA: 3.3
science GPA: 3.5
TEAS: 78
so far the program is okay. It's very stressful and you need to be prepared for the amount of work that they will throw at you. A lot of students in the program were "A" students during their prerequisites but now that means nothing because everyone is just praying that they pass with at least a 77%. With that being said, it is do-able and you will have to work hard/manage your time.
Yeah I can only imagine !!! Ahh I'm just praying I can get into the program for this fall ! But I know I would have to work even harder than I already have! But thank you also for sharing your stats :)) do you remember around when you started to get acceptance emails? I've read from past forums that it's like after the 4th or 5th week, like during the 4-5 week after the applications deadlines. Are the professors and clinicals good tho? How do you like it
It took 8 weeks for me to find out but that's because I applied 2 weeks before the deadline & I applied to the concurrent program so I had to wait for UCF's decision as well (apparently the earlier you apply the faster you find out). If you can, CHOOSE DR. Dial for Nursing 1. She will be apart of the Red team so pick red team when you're registering for Nursing 1. Dr. Dial is the best professor that I've ever encountered and she will make your 1st semester into the program helpful and even better. Your first semester, you only go to clinicals twice at a nursing home and its during the end of the semester. During your second semester you go ever week for 10 hours. I like my clinicals now because you are finally applying what you learned in the classroom to an actual patient & you get a taste of how nurses are like.
Hi! I applied for the UCF concurrent program and the general ASN program at Valencia for fall 2016 on March 26th and STILL have yet to hear anything back. I called them today and they said theyre waiting for acceptance emails to be sent June 20th because that is when UCF will send their acceptances, so they know how many spots they have.
