UCF Nursing or VCC nursing?

Published

What is everyone's opinion on going to VCC or UCF's nursing program? I have to wait 3 semesters after I apply to VCC. However, I will have to wait about the same time for UCF since they require more classes. Does anyone think that one is better than the other?

heyy! i just recently applied and was acepted into valencias nursing program . i get to start summer 2011...iv heard from various people many many times that VCC has a WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better NS program than ucf . Not to mention you need more classes for UCF .

I'll be applying in August as long as I can hack AP2 and Micro over the summer. Thanks for the reply and good luck to you!

I'm in the VCC nursing program now, and I think it's a great program. Afterwards, you can always go to UCF for your bachelors.

Are you close to finishing? Have you heard from others what the hiring climate is like out there ?

It may be helpful if you spelled out the college/university. VCC (I know of an excellent program at VCC aka Ventura Community College in Ventura CA) but that may not be the program you are referring to.:coollook:

Good idea. How do I edit? Do I just need to repost?

I'm not close to finishing, I graduate in Spring 2011. From what I hear, it's difficult landing a new nursing job right now in this economy, but I have faith that a year from now it'll be better.

Hey swarner5 - if you've got to wait 3 semesters anyway, might as well apply for VCC. That way if you want to continue taking courses for UCF's program then you'll be in good shape either way.

My aunt works w/Florida Hospital and so far so good, the hiring looks good & plentiful. Now whether looks = reality...... iunno. :D

Thanks so much!

anybody starting summer 2011? i am!! i cant waiitt=D

So, exactly when did you apply? Is it really three semesters like they say?
