I spoke to a nursing advisor @ UCF Orlando about their accelerated BSN, and she explained to me that it was very competitive, that the average undergrad GPA for those entering that program is around 3.7 ... she recommended that I speak to someone at UCF Daytona about transferring into the basic BSN program there because the average undergrad GPA would probably be less competitive. Additionally, it would be one extra semester of work than the accelerated.
I have a 3.2 cum GPA for my BA, though my prereq GPA is at this time @ 3.6. I live closer to Daytona anyway so commuting-wise it's the better choice. Accelerated BSN is only offered in Orlando, and I had no idea I had the option of transferring into the basic BSN with a prior bachelor's.
Anyone have a similar experience, or can offer insight into the UCF Daytona program? Thanks!
