UCAN Denver 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone, I'm applying to the UCAN Denver Nursing Program for January 2022. I will be interviewing and I'm curious about what the interview process is like, how many students are in the program, and the highlights of the program. If you have any information at all I would love to hear more about the program. Thank you in advance! -Hannah

Yep! I live in Austin, TX.

How is everyone preparing for the interview?

I am preparing by looking up common questions, answering them and really reflecting on my main points.

Anyone else catch how it said “interview exercises” in the most recent email? Makes me thing that we won’t be asked the common nursing school questions but more situational questions. What do y’all think?

I am also curious when they will be sending out interview times and groups! In the past, I have heard they provided students with an ethical question and had them analyze/answer it as a group.

I got an email this morning with a time slot!

I think you're probably right! it sounds like they're all group interviews? anyone know if in past years there's been group and individual components, or just the group interview exercise? excited to (virtually) meet y'all Thursday!

Yes, I also got an e-mail. Looks like my time slot is 09:40. For a particular alumni, there was a group exercise and then 1-2 questions asked individually.

How's everyone feeling after the interview? I'm really excited for the presentations coming up. Good luck to everyone, you've got this! Wish we all had more time to check in with each other following the interview.

Honestly, I'm so nervous! I got some difficult questions I had not prepared for but I want this so so badly.

It definitely wasn't my best interview haha. I was pretty nervous and not that eloquent. Plus just hard to balance speaking and lead with your true self over Zoom! Gosh but glad it's over and out of our hands now LOL.

LOL I feel the same way! I'm sure we did better than we thought.
