UB/SUNY Buffalo Traditional Program competitive

Hello!

I am accepted into the UB Trad Program for Fall 2015. Anyone got in and their stats? Many of my friends didnt get in even though they were teaching assistants, researchers at UB.

Makes me question how greatly competitive it is or is it very unfair?

I know someone who got in and lied in their application!

Any tips?

Hi, and welcome to AN! :) My first tip would be to change your userID; the TOS of this website do not allow anyone who is not licensed as a nurse to use the title in their ID. How about FutureNurseGwapo?

Competitiion for spots in nursing programs is pretty stiff throughout much of the US, and that includes a school with a competitive program like UB's. Be glad you got in!

Another tip would be, honestly, to focus on yourself and your studies, and try not to pay attention to what this or that student is or isn't doing. Perhaps someone lied on her application and got in. Does it change how you will perform on your own exams? No. If she is able to handle the program, she will.....if she can't keep up, she'll be removed.

Fair? Life is unfair. At this point at least you have a seat! Now make the best of it, and do the very best you can.
