Hi guys! Starting this thread to discuss everyone's applications, prereqs and overall expectations for the program.
I just submitted my application for the ABS program starting in May 2020. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.64, prereq GPA of 3.94 (6 of 9 done), CNA experience(4 months), healthcare admin assistant experience(8 months) and managerial experience from after college(the first time).I'm extremely on edge about my chances and December is seriously SO far away.
I'm also currently taking Micro and Patho at ECC. Planning to take Pharmacology in the Spring at UB.
Good luck with apps and prereqs!!
@buffalo22 Thanks for the words of encouragement, that background does give me more hope! Will you be attending UB this summer?
Hello everyone! I just created a Facebook group. Here is the link and feel free to request me and I will invite you into the group. I figure this will be a good way to communicate and to get to know each other a bit before the program starts in May. Thank you!

The first thing you need to do is go to the link I provided and create a FSA ID and password. After that, you will go ahead and fill out application for 2020-2021. Ensure when prompted to do so, you create a save key. You will want to keep your driver's license, W2, tax forms from 2018 on hand. If you are considered a dependent student you will also need your parent's financial information (W2 and other tax documents). When completing the form you can put all the colleges you applied to, not just one.
When you are all set with the FAFSA form and you submit it, you should receive a message that will prompt you to transfer information to TAP. You will go ahead and go to that website and complete the form. I hope this helps.

omg, you are so sweet. Thank you so much for the thoughtful and detailed reply. I am gonna apply this weekend. So just to make sure, we fill out the 2020-2021 application even if we are jumping in at the end of 2019-2020 school year?
In your case you might want to fill out both because we are starting school at the end of the 2019-2020 cycle.

I work with a girl who was accepted 2 years ago, she applied again last year but was waitlisted. Actually 2 or 3 of her friends were waitlisted, and ALL of them were offered spots by Jan/Feb. There were also people getting notices in April because people dropped out. Don't give up hope!
