Ualr nursing program applicant 2017

Hi, I just wanted to start a conversation for the 2017 nursing applicants at Ualr. It's a long wait until April. We can keep each other updated during the wait.

I haven't received anything yet...:/ hoping to hear something by next week.

@meighightower I haven't gotten anything either and neither has my friend. It's making me nervous! Congratulations to everyone else!!! Way to go!! Yay!!!

The way I understand it they give you points for pre-reqs completed and points for your grades in those classes, that is then used to determine your ranking. As far as the Accelerated program, I was told they pick the top 50 students with the highest GPA in their pre-req classes.

I have all of my pre-reqs completed except APII, and I'm taking that now. I have a 3.78 GPA. I applied only for the Accelerated Program.

Shannon, if they end up with spots left open in the Acc Program, they should offer those spots to Traditional students. So they could still offer a spot between now and next summer (2018), that's when Traditional students get a break and the Acc students keep going. What all have you completed and what is your GPA for those classes?

If any of this is inaccurate, someone correct me. But I think it's right.

I applied to the Accelerated Track but was accepted into the tradition program. I'm a current freshman. Although my GPA is a 4.0, I've only completed A&P I, Comp 1, Psychology, CNA, and Nutrition (which was for another program I applied to), I'm currently enrolled in College Algebra, A&PII , and US History. Im hoping that a spot for the accerlared program becomes available. Either way I am happy! Congrats to you, and everyone else! I'm excited to start this journey.

Does anyone know about off campus housing that is not too expensive arround campus, I don't live in Little Rock and I don't want to live on campus. Pls help

I am out of state. So I'm also looking! Does anybody know if Chenal Point at the divide is a good apartment community? I'm really wanting a complex that is gated and in a good part of town.

@maddie I had to google that one. Those apartments are FAR from UALR. You'll probably eventually hate that drive. Especially if you're getting out of class during rush hour. Its by a Walmart and some more stores. I have never heard of any crime out that way.

@rose I would look on apartment guide but they all start around 600 + I will tell you that if you want to pay $250 to $400 a month you're going to find an apartment in a ROUGH part of the city. Your best bet is to probably find a roommate.
