UALR Nursing applicants 2018

U.S.A. Arkansas

Published

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start post for all of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock nursing school applicants. Priority application submission starts today and ends Feb 28 but you can still apply after, you just risk being placed on the waiting list. I have all prereqs completed for ASN except Micro which i will take this summer and all completed for the BSN program. My nursing GPA is a 3.5 and my combined is a 3.7. Best of luck to you all!!

Anyone else notice on BOSS they're already pulling people into the July class?

I don't know how reliable that is because there is bunch of seats left for the May session, why wouldn't they add those to the May session? It's so weird.

I am not worry, because some may not complete the May session but there is like 50 plus seats available for the May session.

Elexus, have you been accepted? I haven't been keeping up with the thread but I know you were still waiting to hear last time I checked.

I'm still waiting to hear back! They probably won't reply back to me until I send in my transcripts in two weeks.

Oh okay! Well good luck! Still rooting for you!

Question, as anyone try to go register for the July Nurs1300 class? It just allowed me to register

Hi, I was wondering if we could register for this July class or did we have to wait until we're officially excepted?

I honestly have no idea! It allowed me to registered so I did

I'm on the waitlist as well , I guess it wouldn't hurt to register for the class just in case its a go I would prefer the july session thanks for responding

Do not register. They just sent me email telling me to drop the course.

Thanks for letting me know I appreciate that

I hope that UALR. offer a fair program I know that there's a lot of favoritism in the world. .I don't know what methods they use to select the students who' gets in they should let us know. I figure if you have what is requested and have turned in what you need and you provided the iinformation before the application deadline way should you have to be wsit listed in the meantime they're still excepting application. kinda makes you wonder what s really going on

@ollowayrd I am a current UALR nursing student. To kind of help clear up any questions about the process, they base it off of GPA and the number of completed classes, they will give priority to someone who is post-bacc as well. The reason people are waitlisted is because they will fill up the number of spots for the first summer term with those who scored higher (gpa, number of completed classes) then they will determine how many students will be accepted into the second summer term.

Also, I saw somebody mention that they were wanting the accelerated spot but got into the traditional track! I also applied for the accelerated last year, but got into the traditional track as well (I was a freshman and still had to complete chem and micro, although I did have a 4.0 with the other pre-reqs) BUT, because many people will either fail out or drop their accelerated position they open up applications for the accelerated position again once you enter Adult2/Mental Health (so the spring of next year for you guys).... I was accepted into the accelerated and so were 5 of my friends. They also did the same thing with the class from 2016! Many people who want the accelerated position will get it eventually.

Good luck to anyone starting in May and good luck to everyone else waiting to hear back! You will do awesome.

SOME tips: Don't second guess yourself, study, but take time for yourself as well, and remember this is achievable!!
